Camp NAWIC is designed to support students from groups underrepresented in the construction industry, particularly young women. Selection prioritizes applicants who align with this mission.

About Camp NAWIC
Camp NAWIC Baltimore is a hands-on summer program designed to introduce middle - high school girls to the exciting, high-demand careers available in the construction industry. Through interactive workshops, jobsite tours, and mentorship from industry professionals, campers build practical skills, discover pathways into the trades and project management, and connect with women shaping the future of construction. The camp is 100% volunteer-run and made possible by our members, partners, and sponsors.

What to Expect
- Professional PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, high-vis vest, steel-toe boots) to keep.
- Hands-on workshops: carpentry, electrical, concrete, plumbing, blueprint reading, and more.
- Active jobsite tours and trade training center visits.
- Safety culture, sustainability, and teamwork fundamentals.
- Capstone project highlighting a construction career path.

Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Mon–Fri)

Who Can Apply
- Female students entering grades 7th – 12th.
- No prior construction experience required.
- Camp is limited to 40 spots; selection is competitive.

Cost
Thanks to our generous sponsors, Camp NAWIC Baltimore is free for all participants. PPE, materials, meals, and field-trip transportation are included.
